RFQ 2023-1 Qualifications Statement for Construction Management Services
The Havana Community Development Corporation, Inc. (est. 2009) is a 501(c)(3) Florida not-for-profit public charity and community development corporation (HCDC). HCDC is comprised of graduates of Northside High graduates and other residents and philanthropists who believes in the preservation of the once beloved abandoned the facility.
Our core mission is to enhance the quality of life of the residents of Havana and surrounding communities with emphasis on economic development, jobs creation, health and wellness, youth, and senior citizens initiatives, nutrition, life-long learning and sound environmental stewardship.
Northside High was placed on the National Historic Registry 2017 as the city's first African-American high school. Funding for operations and services to date has been acquired through private planned giving (e.g., wills and trusts), charitable foundations, grants, corporations, state, local and federal governmental entities, along with various fees for services and activities from an array of public-private, faith-based strategic partners and mostly Friends of Northside High School!
