Mr. Randolph Bush, Maestro

The first band director at Havana Northside High. He was personally recruited by Principal John A. Williams (deceased) in 1979.

Mr. Bush was educated in Gadsden County schools and a graduate of James A Shanks High School, class of 1975. Following graduation, he attended Florida A & M University where he continued his studies to fulfill his dream of becoming a band director. While there he was a member of the Incomparable Marching 100.

After starting the first band at Havana Northside High School, the community embraced the excitement and talent he built as the beloved Band Director for eighteen (18) years. The band traveled throughout Florida as well as other states to participate in competitions, festivals, and Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Under Mr. Bush, Havana Northside High School Band received innumerable accolades, honors, and awards for its showmanship and performances.

Mr. Bush was a musician and musical director at Salem A.M.E Church in Greensboro, FL for more than 30 years. His passions grew as he remained committed to playing instruments and training children as young as 2 years old to play drums and piano during worship services.
